AIHI focuses on international public health research, policy and practice in developing countries. AIHI expands the Australian contribution to international health through:

  • International health education, training and workforce development
  • Capacity building for the conduct and dissemination of international public health research
  • Leadership and advocacy in health policy development and health program planning and evaluation to ensure sustainability of programs responding to critical health issues
  • Engagement in project design, implementation and technical assistance consultancies to strengthen the health systems of developing nations
