The Nossal Institute for Global Health (the Nossal) is an important strategic development for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and the University of Melbourne. The Nossal is the University’s hub of expertise and knowledge in global health. It builds on expertise within the University and affiliated organisations and encompasses the activities and resources of the Australian International Health Institute (AIHI) a not-for-profit company of the University. The Nossal aims to improve global health through research, education and training and program delivery.
The Nossal works internationally through capacity building and partnership and through community based health programs. It actively seeks to expand its contribution to capacity building and workforce development in five core geographic areas: South Asia, primarily India; North Asia, primarily China; South East Asia, primarily the Mekong Sub-region and Indonesia; and the Pacific: primarily Papua New Guinea; and Southern Africa, primarily in Mozambique.
UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES IN INDONESIA
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced consultants for upcoming opportunities in the Health Sector in Indonesia in one or more of the following areas:
- Team Leader / Facility Management
- Health financing
- Health economics
- Maternal and neonatal health
- Health systems strengthening (including health policy, health workforce, resource allocation, health systems design and development)
- HIV/AID
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- At minimum 5 years relevant international development experience in Indonesia
- Demonstrated detailed understanding of working with funding agencies
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work in a collaborative manner in a team setting
- Demonstrated understanding of capacity building, community development and monitoring and evaluation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesian is desirable but not essential

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced consultants for upcoming opportunities in the Health Sector in Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos in one or more of the following areas:
- Team leader
- Health financing
- Health economics
- Health sector workforce
- Health policy
- Health facilities administration
- Maternal and neonatal health
- HIV/AIDS
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- At minimum 5 years relevant international development experience, preferably in South East Asia
- Demonstrated detailed understanding of working with funding agencies
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work in a collaborative manner in a team setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated understanding of capacity building, community development and M&E
- Language skills in Khmer, Vietnamese and/or Laotian are desirable but not essential
