AIHI contributes to Development Assistance programs and projects in the health sector in partnership with national and international organisations. This contribution includes program design, management and evaluation, capacity building for partner organisations, and provision of quality health specialists to strengthen the health systems of developing nations. AIHI achieves this through technical assistance in the design, management and implementation of projects; advanced education and workforce training; leadership in health policy and strategic planning; capacity development in public health research; and through technical assistance to strengthen programs of prevention, care and treatment of the major causes of ill-health, death and disability in the Asia-Pacific region.
