The
Right Honorable Malcolm Fraser
The Rt Hon Malcolm Fraser was elected to Parliament in 1955
during the Menzies Government. He was Prime Minister of Australia
from 1975-83. Malcolm chaired the United Nations Hearings on the Role
of Multinationals in South Africa and Namibia in 1985. He was Co-Chairman
of the Commonwealth Committee of Eminent Persons in 1986, formed to
encourage reform in South Africa. In 1989 he chaired the United Nations
Committee on African Commodity Problems. Consultancy: Nomura Research
Institute, 1985-96; Board: Investment Co of America; 1987-93; ANZ
International Board of Advice 1987-93. Mr Fraser was Chairman of CARE
Australia from 1987-2001 and President of CARE International from
1990-1995 and Vice President from 1995-99. He was awarded the 2000
Australian Human Rights Medal. Malcolm is currently Co-Chairman of
the InterAction Council for Former Heads of Government. In 2002, Malcolm
published his book “Common Ground – Issues that should
bind and not divide us”.
